What is

Crohn’s Disease?

Crohn’s Disease is a type of inflammatory bowel disease that can affect any part of the GI tract, from the mouth (start) to anus (finish). The symptoms a person can experience are variable and personal, but may include diarrhea, cramping, nausea, poor appetite, and unintentional weight loss (losing weight when you don’t want to).

How Crohn’s

Affects Daily Life

Crohn's Disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the digestive tract and can cause discomfort and pain, making it difficult to go about daily life. From causing frequent and uncomfortable trips to the bathroom to generally causing discomfort throughout your day, avoiding symptoms from Crohn’s can help to make your days less painful, smoother, and easier to handle.

How We Can Help

with Crohn’s Disease

While Crohn’s disease is not caused by the food you eat, making changes to your diet in addition to medical treatment, may help to control your symptoms and improve quality of life. Our dietitians will work with you in managing Crohn's Disease by providing personalized nutrition plans to reduce symptoms and improve overall health. These plans may involve avoiding trigger foods, incorporating nutrient-dense meals, and taking supplements to correct nutritional deficiencies. Our team can also help by educating you and providing support for managing Crohn's Disease symptoms.
